Ryan Foxx aka Father Flowers (she/her) is a Black-American self taught visual artist. Born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado and currently residing in the DMV. Under the pseudonym Father Flowers, she plays with the idea of tending to one's own mental garden and cultivating the beauty out of painful and hard self work. Aiming to find the magic in the real.

As an attempt at self discovery, her work explores the intersection of personal and cultural identity . With a focus on portraiture she creates narratives and characters that act as a conduit for these ideas. Through the use of vibrant colors and abstraction she plays with themes of melodramatic whimsy to engage viewers. She experiments with a variety of media and techniques ranging from digital to mixed media to oil painting.
